About Nadia...

An acclaimed cabaret and concert artist, theatre actress, comedienne and former ABC radio presenter, Nadia Sunde is an outstanding performer. She effortlessly creates moments with audiences that hold the space for joyful, heartfelt and inspiring connections.

Her most recent original album ’Stoking the Fire’ was ‘Album of the Week’ on ABC 612 and placed on rotation for national ABC Local Radio airplay to 58 stations around Australia. Nadia is the recipient of multiple national and international songwriting and performance awards including a Queensland Music Award, APRA Art Music Award, International Songwriting Award and a Gold Coast Creative Industries Award.

Between 2003 - 2011, Nadia became a household name in her home of South East Queensland as a presenter/producer for ABC radio - including regional and statewide broadcasts. Her Saturday evening program ‘Into The Groove’ was a weekly highlight, featuring interviews and live performances from touring national and international artists.

A highly acclaimed children’s theatre writer and performer, Nadia is also the author of three illustrated children’s books, two award-winning children’s albums and the theme song for National Whale Day. Nadia has written eleven children’s theatre shows for 3-8 year olds and also works as a freelance creative consultant/music director/performer on adult and children’s musical theatre. In 2017 Nadia partnered with Bloomsbury Publishing to bring the Harry Potter book series to life at festivals and venues across Australasia. She is the only person endorsed by the Harry Potter UK franchise to do so.

Nadia’s current performance projects include the large scale roller skating theatre spectacle ‘RINK’, in partnership with Australian theatre dance company Everybody NOW! Nadia is a creative lead, performer and musical director on this project. A multi-award winning theatre maker and songwriter for children, Nadia is also the creative force behind ‘The Collector’s - an immersive theatre work for 3-8 year olds and their communities that uses story to explore and celebrate our wondrous relationship with nature. This project was originally developed for inclusion in the Commonwealth Games Festival 2018. Nadia is currently in development with her brand new concert cabaret 'Blue Bayou', launching in late 2022.
